Hydraulic dampers are widely used in pipelines, important equipment, and main load-bearing beams (supports) in industries such as nuclear power, thermal power, petrochemicals, military, steel, wind energy, and solar energy due to their vibration reduction performance; It can effectively protect pipelines, equipment, main load-bearing beams (supports), etc. from damage caused by occasional impact loads.

working principle

Hydraulic dampers are damping devices that use special valves to control the movement of hydraulic cylinder pistons, in order to suppress the influence of periodic or impact loads on pipelines and equipment. Its performance characteristics can be summarized by the four words "combining rigidity and flexibility": when the pipeline is in normal working condition, it can adapt to the slow movement of the pipeline caused by changes in the temperature of the medium, and almost no damping is produced on the pipeline, which is called "flexibility"; In special accident conditions (such as earthquakes, water hammer, steam hammer, safety valve exhaust, pipe breakage, etc.), when the pipeline is subjected to instantaneous impact, the hydraulic damper becomes an approximately rigid mechanism to support the pipeline. The vibration energy of the impact load can be quickly absorbed and transmitted, thereby reducing the impact amplitude of the pipeline and meeting the requirements of buffering and earthquake resistance.
